On the 1st of July 2018, we will participate to a beautiful ride on the footsteps of Jacques CHARLES and Marie-Noël ROBERT who, in december 1783, linked Paris to Nesles-la-Vallée thanks to a bold flight in a gas ballon which they invented. This hot air balloon was followed by hundreds of horses and we will take a part of this path.
This event consists in a large equestrian gathering where you will have the opportunity to meet other riders participating also to this festive event.
We will load the horses in Maisons-Laffitte before leaving together (carpooling) to get to Chambly (close to the Isle of Adam) which will be the starting point of our ride. Around noon, we will meet other riders, coming from 4 other locations in the Val d’Oise, in Nesles-la-Vallée where we will have lunch all together. Afterwards, we will get back on our horses to discover more of the Regional Natural Park and head back to Chambly. After having loaded the horses in the lorry, we will return to Maisons-Laffitte.
For those who would rather meet directly in Chambly, it is also possible to do this instead.
